Adding Hospitality to the Northshore Mall Experience
An underutilized parking area. A highly visible mall property. A new hotel designed to support shopping, dining, business travel, and extended stays on the North Shore. RJ O’Connell is providing the site/civil engineering, stormwater management, permitting, and construction-phase services for the new Residence Inn Peabody by Marriott at Northshore Mall, in Peabody, MA – helping transform a 2.7-acre portion of the property into a 142-room hotel destination.
Located at 210 Andover Street in Peabody, the new Residence Inn occupies an underutilized parking area within the Northshore Mall property. RJOC’s work supports a four-story hotel that will be walkable to the mall’s shopping, dining, and entertainment amenities, with convenient access from Route 128 and 95.
RJOC’s site design supports vehicle circulation, guest access, 108 parking spaces, stormwater management, and the infrastructure needed for daily hotel operations. The project also includes amenities such as a meeting room, fitness center, indoor pool, media salons, and hearth room.
RJOC helped move the project through Planning Board Site Plan Approval and into construction with coordinated permitting, civil engineering, stormwater design, and construction documentation. Currently under construction, the hotel is anticipated to open in spring 2026, adding a new hospitality use to one of the North Shore’s premier retail destinations.
